Meet Our Board

Ibrahim Buyckes
President

Ibrahim Buyckes is a Tulsa native. He holds a Bachelors Degree in English from Northeastern State University. He discovered his passion for theatre after studying and attending plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Since joining the Tulsa theater community, Ibrahim has appeared in Terminus, The Shawshank Redemption, and the TATE-award winning production of August Wilson's Jitney. Ibrahim is a founding board member, joining TSC in July 2023.

Jenny Bledsoe, Ph.D.
Vice President

Jenny Bledsoe is a tenured professor with a specialization in medieval and early modern literature. With a Ph.D. in English and a certificate in nonprofit management, she is passionate about supporting the arts and humanities in the public sphere. A lifelong lover of theatre, Jenny uses her expertise in pedagogy and grant writing to support the organization. Jenny joined the board in August 2026.

Alex Isaak
Secretary

Alex Isaak is a two-time Emmy Award winning producer and marketing strategist with a passion for theatre. After working for four years as a weekday evening newscast producer at KOTV - NewsOn6, she pivoted careers and now works in digital marketing at her alma mater, The University of Tulsa. She is an avid director, playwright and performer in Tulsa’s theatre scene. She's also a frequent contributor at The Pickup. Alex is a founding board member and the company’s Marketing Director, joining TSC in July 2023.

Brock England
Artistic Director

Brock England began performing professionally more than two decades ago and has been concentrating on early modern and classical theater since 2008. He has trained under notables such as Ben Crystal, Farah Cooper and Beth Burns, and performed as a featured guest at the American Shakespeare Center's biannual Blackfriars Conference at Mary Baldwin University. Brock is the founder of TSC.

Angel Ruiz
Treasurer

Angel Ruiz serves as the Board Treasurer for the Tulsa Shakespeare Company, drawing on more than 15 years of operational management and technical production expertise to ensure the organization's fiscal health and sustainable growth. Blending a deep passion for local theatre with rigorous administrative stewardship, Angel is dedicated to keeping live performance vibrant, structured, and accessible across the Tulsa community. Angel joined the board in February 2026.
